The Alitalia case for some months I make the following question:
"Why Alitalia, which flies to more overcrowded planes, loses two million euro per day, while other companies, flying at half-empty planes, making a profit?
The answers that come to mind are the following three:
1) Bad management and industrial organization and inability.
2) Class privileged employee with exorbitant costs out of the labor market (perhaps this is what I think Berlusconi).
3) Political will to sell off Alitalia to someone who can return the favor at the political-economic.
I say alone in the same order in which I asked myself the questions:
1) If there was and there is a problem of poor management and organization, as it surely is, after that the situation is under Alitalia glare of national and international public, should not be very difficult to find an honest and capable management team that can bring a healthy and normal operations within our national airline, that the profits they certainly should do, given that, even in these days of economic crisis and image, always travels full. I write in a provocative way (but only up to a certain point ...): I propose myself, am an engineer accustomed and trained to optimize production systems, to study and put a hand to Alitalia's industrial structure to make it rational and productive! If this were so, it would be really easy to find a solution! Unfortunately, I am convinced that this is not the climax of the crisis Alitalia!
2) If it is the responsibility of the privileges of Alitalia employees, I think the shock of this crisis, which now has dragged on for years, is likely to have employees come to your senses and put an immediate remedy to the issue. Have been issued by Alitalia workers voices readiness to go to work as well ... free, at this time of crisis, but to keep alive and to initiate activities of Alitalia rescue our Company flag. Unfortunately, even this seems to me the crux of the story, that even on this basis may start a solution!
3) Alas, the political will to destroy the airline, in favor of ... friends, I think the most likely hypothesis is that it appears there has continued to perpetrate, despite everything and against the interests of the Society of flag, its employees and all of us Italians. On the other hand, this mechanism is a well-experienced in the past in our country: that is to sell off-depreciating give ....!
If so, that does not stay on the side of workers and cheer because Alitalia, which has hitherto been a jewel of Italian, not lost to the personal interests of the usual economic and political potentates Italian! If the claim was genuine
Commissioner Fantozzi (unfortunately, I think just because I know him), namely that "Alitalia will continue flying as long as there is money," then we may find the nice surprise that Alitalia will fly for much longer time!
