Join or not to attend the July 8 event in Rome against the "laws ad hoc" pro-Berlusconi? What do
is spreading a sort of trend pseudoculturale, by reason of which we should not pursue Berlusconi, to avoid a so-called justicialism. In this
Veltroni does on the usual soft coups Berlusconi's justice and its endless private interests in public!
I think that this position of the Democratic Party is the exclusive product of the confusion facing the senior management of this party.
I have to attend the event on 8 July and also to organize next October by Veltroni and the Democratic Party!
What you do not understand is that we risk being really close to the end of democracy in Italy.
We hope the best for the future and inspiration in a saving of some enlightened mind, such as Andrea Camilleri, Umberto Eco, which at the moment I think they still manage to interpret the feeling of loss of the nation.
Specifically, it has expressed Umberto Eco in a letter to Furio Colombo, Paolo Flores d'Arcais, Pancho Pardi, promoters of the event on 8 July in Piazza Navona:
Dear Friends, I express my
Solidarity for your event, I want it served to remind everyone that two points is often tempted to forget
1) Democracy does not mean that the majority is right. It means that the majority has the right to rule.
2) Democracy does not mean therefore that the minority is wrong. It means that while respecting the rule of the majority, it is expressed out loud every time he thinks the majority is wrong (or even do things contrary to law, morals and the very principles of democracy), and must always do so with maximum energy because this is the mandate we received from citizens. When the majority claims that it is always right and the minority does not dare to react, then democracy is in danger.
Umberto Eco
Here, I find myself fully in this brief but intense debate, and I can not understand deafness of many, not just to the left!
If possible I would like to hear your thoughts on the matter.
Andrea Volpe
